DraftKings has announced the closure of its fantasy sports platform in the UK and its full exit from European markets. DraftKings, a company specializing in fast fantasy sports, has announced its withdrawal from the European market and the closure of its platform in the UK.
This decision was made due to the company’s low financial performance. Despite DraftKings holding 29% of the fantasy betting market in the United States, it failed to generate sufficient profit in Europe. The last tournaments were held on October 4, 2024, and the company must settle with its clients by June 2025.

DraftKings launched its online platform in the UK back in 2016. Following that, it began expanding into European countries such as Malta, Germany, Austria, and Ireland.
