Brazil has released the final version of its regulations for betting, online casinos, and slots. Licensed operators will be permitted to offer fixed-odds betting, and they will be required to disclose key information such as the return-to-player percentages, payout tables, and limitations on mystery prizes, according to Sigma World. This transparency is intended to help players better understand their chances of winning.
Crash games, where an object ascends on a graph but crashes at an unpredictable moment (resulting in the loss of potential winnings), will also be allowed—provided the game’s mechanics are random and the rules are clear.
Advertising restrictions are also in place: celebrities cannot be used in advertisements, and companies are prohibited from encouraging immediate bets or account creation through promotions.

If a company identifies problematic gambling behavior, it must either impose limits on the player or completely exclude them from playing. Additionally, if a player remains inactive for 30 minutes, their session must be interrupted.
The operations of gambling companies will be closely monitored, and violations could result in fines of up to 20% of the company’s revenue.
It’s important to note that by January 1, all online gambling companies operating in Brazil must obtain a gambling license. So far, only five companies have submitted their applications, with the rest waiting for more clarity on the regulations. As a result, a significant increase in license applications is expected soon.
