The hotel manager Konstantin Korneev confirmed to ZAXID.NET that the Georgy plans to open a slot machine room, so workers were bringing the machines inside. At the same time, he emphasized that neither the hotel nor the tenant company has the necessary permits, so the machines will be stored in the premises until the establishment starts working officially.
According to him, there is no specific date for the opening of the gambling hall, and it is not known how many slot machines will be installed there. “Preparatory work is currently underway. The hall will open when all the necessary licenses are in place,” Konstantin Korneev said and added that Georges wants to get a 3-star category, which implies a permit to open a slot machine salon. According to him, the hotel has already submitted documents to the State Agency for Tourism Development, but the special commission has not yet made a decision on granting it the required “star rating”.
The Georges Hotel was opened in 1901 and is an architectural monument of local significance. Currently, it is owned by Georges Hotel Complex LLC, and the company’s beneficiary is Olga Filatova-Kryvetska, the wife of Ihor Kryvetsky, a well-known Lviv businessman and politician.

The owner of the future 467m2 slot machine hall, Kyiv-based Celestia Games LLC, was registered at the end of December 2020. Its authorized capital is 50 thousand UAH. The owners of the company are Artem Morokhovets (50%) and Pavlo Vasyutynskyi (50%), who is also the head of the company. Vasyutynskyi is also a director of Nebula Games LLC, which develops a network of casinos and gambling halls (slot halls) in Ukraine under the First Casino brand and 1Casino online casino.
In Lviv, gambling is currently officially allowed in two hotels: a casino has been operating in the Grand Hotel since the end of May, and a slot machine hall in the Lviv Hotel. A slot machine room is also due to open in the Astoria Hotel in the near future. Judging by the size of the premises, the slot machine parlor at Georgi will be the largest in Lviv, with approximately 80 slot machines. The total cost of a license for this number of slot machines for the owner’s company can reach UAH 11.9 million per year.
