International gambling giant MGM Resorts International has applied for a gambling license in the UAE. MGM is no stranger to the region, having previously collaborated with Dubai World, an investment company that works on behalf of the UAE government to promote Dubai as a hub for commerce and trade.
One of their joint projects was CityCenter in Las Vegas, a massive complex that includes casinos, hotels, and retail spaces. Additionally, MGM is involved in a project that will bring its luxury hotel brands, Bellagio and Aria, to the UAE. MGM’s CEO, Bill Hornbuckle, highlights the UAE’s potential as a tourist and gambling destination.
