Maria Ho stole the spotlight once again after winning the latest edition of the Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The tournament attracted 59 players, including celebrities and professional athletes. Maria’s impressive play earned her $50,000 and her second CPT title this year. Her first triumph came in March at the CPT Game Night I.
A member of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, Maria Ho has over $4.7 million in career tournament earnings, making her one of the most successful women in poker. She faced a diverse field of competitors on the CPT, including television personalities, professional athletes, and popular online influencers. One of the key hands was the confrontation between Dossi and Ho. In an all-in situation, Sophie went all-in with A♠J♥ against Maria’s K♣3♥. The flop came K♦Q♠10♦, giving Dossi an almost 96% chance of winning. However, the turn Q♣ and the river Q♥ brought Ho a full house, allowing her to win this important pot. In heads-up, Maria Ho met Brian Quinn, the star of the TV show Impractical Jokers. Despite an initial 37-1 chip lead in Ho’s favor, Quinn managed to double up. However, he soon found himself all-in again with 4-2 against Maria’s A-K. A king flop cemented her lead, and she confidently closed out the tournament with the top prize. Quinn earned $20,000 for finishing second.
