The Gila River Indian Community is planning to build a new casino near the Phoenix metropolitan area (the capital of Arizona). The specific location for the gambling house has not yet been determined, but it will likely be near Hunt Highway and Gilbert Road.
Design of the facility will take 18 to 24 months, according to community officials. Construction of the casino, however, will begin after Arizona regulates gambling at Indian tribal gaming houses. As reported NewsOfGambling, the Governor of Washington State signed an agreement with Indian tribes, according to which their casinos are allowed to bet on sports.
