Spotify, the globally renowned music streaming service, will officially cease its operations in Russia on April 11. This move comes in response to the sweeping political and economic upheavals of 2022. Earlier, Spotify had already disabled subscription renewals and halted the purchase of Premium plans in Russia. While some dismissed the impact with remarks like “I didn’t use it anyway,” others expressed concerns over the diminishing availability of quality digital services. For many Russians, the growing cultural and technological isolation has become increasingly palpable, though widespread outrage remains absent.
